ECO-HEALING THE TOWN
In order to properly heal ourselves, we must also heal our environment.
Developed and led by youth leaders, our campaigns and initiatives focus on Urban Greening to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, mitigate the effects of extreme heat, and provide additional benefits such as decreased pollution and energy consumption in East Oakland along the I-880 corridor.
Our youth leaders are working on campaigns & initiatives around School Yard Greening, projects to promote composting and recycling, and participating in activities for park & creek restoration at Peralta Hacienda Historical Park.
