ECOHEALING THE TOWN

Healing to Research to Action

EcoHealing engages youth leaders in hands-on community projects and programs that connect environmental stewardship with real-world problem-solving. Through workshops, data- and research-driven activities, and community events, youth explore urban greening, land stewardship, hazardous waste, and air quality monitoring. Participants gain experience applying what they learn to strengthen climate resiliency and create healthier, more sustainable neighborhoods along the I-880 corridor. By leading projects and initiatives, youth build skills in organizing, teamwork, and community problem-solving, while making tangible contributions to their communities.

GET THE LEAD
OUT OF OUSD

Lead was found to be at extremely dangerous levels in multiple OUSD sites in Spring of last school year. No stakeholders were informed and students/ staff were allowed to continue drinking from water until the first week of school this year.

We are part of a coalition that is demanding transparency, OUSD fix the problem, reinvestment in infrastructure and overall accountability measures to ensure that this doesn’t happen again.
